Adam Driver is heading to the Garden State for his latest feature. The Netflix crime drama series ‘Rabbit, Rabbit’ (story 6), which is about a hostage situation, will film in New Jersey from March 16 through June 25. Philip Barantini will direct, from a story by Peter Craig.
The story takes place at a truck stop in southern Illinois. When an escaped convict is boxed in by the cops at the truck stop, he takes hostages in order to attempt a negotiation that will set him free. The resulting stand off is quickly shaping up to be an irrepressible social experiment played out by the convict, his captives and their guards and a high-stakes poker game between the convict himself and a seasoned FBI Crisis Negotiator schooled in what he calls “tactical empathy.”
Adam Driver’s most recent work was in the role of Cesar Catilina in the Francis Ford Coppola’s historical sci-fi movie ‘Megalopolis.’ Prior to that, he was Enzo Ferrari in the biographical drama ‘Ferrari,’ Mills, a pilot, in sci-fi film ’65,’ and Jack in the nonsensical comedy movie ‘White Noise.’ His followers recognize him as Adam Sackler from the HBO comedy drama series ‘Girls.’ Besides these, he has been in the cast of ‘Law & Order,’ ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,’ and ‘The Unusuals.’
His next picture will be with Cate Blanchett and Vicky Krieps in Jim Jarmusch’s comedy movie ‘Father Mother Sister Brother.’ The siblings story is about the estranged siblings who upon meeting after a long time, reluctantly, confront the unresolved tensions with their emotionally detached parents.
Philip Barantini directed the Emmy-award winning Netflix series ‘Adolescence’ Other series on which he has directed episodes include BBC’s ‘The Responder’ and ‘Boiling Point,’ as well as ITV’s ‘Malpractice.’ Among the films he’s directed are the thrillers Accused and Boiling Point, as well as crime drama Villain.
