“Malice” is a suspenseful drama that focuses on the mental state of a young male nanny, a “manny,” made by James Wood. In the very beginning, we get to know Adam Healey (Jack Whitehall) who, among many other places, is brought to the fancy Greek island villa of the over-the-top rich Tanner family to work. Jamie Tanner (David Duchovny) has hired Adam to look after the children of his guests, Jules (Christine Adams) and Damien (Raza Jaffrey). In no time, Adam gets the people around him to accept him and even goes as far as to flirt with Jamie’s wife, Nat (Carice van Houten).
But then it gets complicated once he starts working against his pay grade. From tampering with food to discarding a passport to setting several ruthless traps for his employers, the list is endless. He is there to spy on and sabotage the family. The question is why? What’s interesting is that Jamie appears to be keeping a secret, and their estate his the safe where he puts the lock on it. The beautiful scenery of the Prime Video series stands in charming contrast to the sinister undertones of its storyline, like a flower only to make us contemplate what kind of serpent lurks within.
Malice Filming Locations

‘Malice’ was shot in different locations of England and Greece, such as London, Paros, Naxos, Kos, Thasos Island, and Athens. The main parts of the first season are said to have been shot from February 2024 and lasted for more than 18 weeks, with the production finally wrapping up in July of the same year. When Jack Whitehall was sharing his filming experience with Glamour, he said that “it is really a very grateful feeling when you get to do a project that takes you to such a gorgeous place.”
London and England

Certain parts of the shows were done in London, the capital of England. To get the shots of different sections of the performance, the staff went to Richmond, which is a town located in the south-west of the city. The town is well-known for its parks and the River Thames that goes through it. Besides that, the group recorded some segments in Knightsbridge, a residential area in the center of London, just south of Hyde Park. People living in the area were informed about the filming through the boards which were put up by the crew, who also advised them to take care.
The team in Chiswick, a district in West London, were at the Chiswick Draw Dock which is the Chiswick Mall area local. Some scenes were shot outside the Carpenters Arms pub at 91 Black Lion Lane. The parts were recorded at Battersea Park, a Grade-II listed 200-acre open space on Battersea Park Road. The Shepherd Market in Mayfair was used to show the front of the venture capital firm that Jamie set up and runs. The crew in Richmond Hill, which is known for its trees and terrace gardens, took a house as the inside and the outside of the Tanner family house in west London.
Paris and Greece

The production team moved to Paris, one of the islands in the Cyclades, after filming and shooting in Greece. Frankly, the crew took photos of the block in Makria Miti South, which was the perfect location for the family of Tanner’s holiday home. The house, a Studio Seilern Architects creation, is placed on the west coast of the island with its minimal style, the negative-edge pool, the poolside courtyard, and the white look comprising marble and stone make it the ultimate modernism-meets-marble appearance.
While talking to Glamour, David Duchovny compared his feelings while filming in Paros to “a very special experience, not just because of the physical side of it, as the places are stunning and the water is fantastic. However, the history of the place and the people is what makes it even more special. I think of The Odyssey and The Iliad and all the parchments that I read and visualized when I was in high school and college, and now I was there at last. My son is majoring in classics and classic archeology, so both of us (are fascinated). We’d be glad to assume the role of (tourism ambassadors for Greece) if that was the case.” The 250-member film crew spent more than two months on Paros for the shooting.
Filming the crew shot several scenes in Parikia village which is known as the main harbor of Paros island. They also went to Kolymbithres beach and Agia Irini beach for the outdoor scenes.
Some of the scenes were filmed in the woods near Agios Antonios Monastery which is on Kefalos Hill by the village of Marpissa. The next scenes were recorded at the shipyard of Petros Aliprantis in the village of Naoussa.
Next wedding scene to be shot was at Kostos Village, a whitewashed town with traditional houses and narrow streets. Besides, the Church of Agios Panteleimonas of Paros built in 1780 can also be seen.
Moreover, there were a few scenes of boat rides and trips that were shot at Aliki Harbour which is a part of the coastal village of Aliki. The clean sandy beach, fish taverns, and a peaceful atmosphere make it perfect for family holidays.
Naxos and Greece

And a number of scenes were also filmed on Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades Islands. It is the spot where the cave of Mt. Zas is found, where mankind’s ruler according to Greek mythology – Zeus – was raised. Naxos- Naxos is made up of a variety landscapes and is perfect for adventure lovers along with fans of windsurfing and kitesurfing due to the windy conditions. You must definitely visit hotspots like the Venetian towers, Venetian Kastro while you can not miss village of Apiranthos.
Kos and Greece

The production team is said to have also visited the island of Kos, which is in the Dodecanese island group in the southeastern Aegean Sea. There, they filmed outdoor scenes at the Agios Fokas beach. This beautiful coastline is made up of stunning black and white sand and pebbles. It’s just right for those who enjoy a sequestered waterfront. A few of the things that tourists can do is sunbathe, swim, and snorkel.
Thasos Island and Greece

Some of the shots were taken on Thasos Island as well. It had the cameras situated on Alyki, a peninsula (and human habitation) at the south east end of the island. Extending two lovely coves into the northern Aegean Sea, the settlement was founded in the 7th century B.C. It possesses spectacular waters which are also crystal clear, and an underwater rocky terrain which is perfect for deep sea diving.
Athens and Greece

Besides, the team recorded several shots in Athens, the historically renowned capital of Greece. To be exact, a few of the scenes were filmed at Kotzia Square which is situated in the very center of the city. The square with its lovely neoclassical buildings like the Municipality of Athens and the National Bank of Greece appears to be a portal to the past. Athens is characterized by an old-fashioned medieval style and is placed among the best tourist destinations in the world. Therefore, the city must be uncovered through its landmarks such as the Parthenon, Zappeion, Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Academy of Athens.
